MAoI - Pokilothos & Epiticus
MAoI = Miniature Art of Ileyeah (Miniature for those are all ACEOs)
Since I don't have the time to digitally colour my mammoth piece with all the critters in it, I thought about making a card for each of them, including a stylized version of it and a bit of environment.
Oh boy, these two certainly are oooooold designs. *g* Especially the Poki, which probably reaches back till 1993 or so. XD Nonetheless they still belong to my favourites
Name: top: Pokilothos
Environment: Swamp
Diet: carnivore
What appears to be veins on top of this creature's skin are actually channels of poison and mucus. One is used to kill prey as well as enemies, while the other keeps the skin constantly moist. It's poison is very potent and usually deadly. It can even injure plants and temporarily contaminate soil and water.
Having no eyes the Pokilothos relies on smell and other sensory information, but does so excellently. Any living thing would be well advised to stay clear of this slimy fellow.

Name: bottom: Epiticus
Environment: Plainlands
Diet: carnivore
The Epiticus is a low and stury critter, that might remind of a cross between a crocodile and a Bulldog. Despite it's short stubby legs it's surprisingly fast. The enourmously strong neck in combination with a teeth bristling jaw makes them very dangerous "little" hunters. They manage to crush most bones in two or more pieces without any effort.
