Interesting. I couldn't help but recall spending hours at the shop, making thousands of "Zip Rings" for my friend Bob to use for his chaimail project. He built a full "Coif" but the steel wire proved quite heavy. (The darn thing must have weighed over ten pounds.) We discussed using aluminum wire, but Bob quit before anything came of that project.
