To all of you who love to tell me how much you envy the incredibly vivid dreams I have which inspire such works as "The Next to Fly" and "A Forest Most Fowl". I just thought I'd let you know that not all of my dreams involve giant eagles and mystical forests. As if in payment for all the magical experiences I get to have in my sleep, I have to spend an occasional night with things like this. And they're every bit as vivid as the good dreams.
You try acting normal all day when you've been running for your life from this guy all night.

His face looks fragile. Just punch there 'really' hard. Either that, or use your
tupac summoning ability to put a couple of plugs in his bootay

very detailed... an I agree... what I usally try ta do is reclaim my dreamlands... remind myself that these are MY domains an that nothin' here can harm me... then wolf out on'em an rip'em ta shreds ta restake m'claims, heh... but that's jus' me... we werewolves tend ta have rather... unusual dreams anyways... ;)
Fantastic detail, though I do agree with a previous comment that the face is almost...sad...in that "I know I am frightening and I'm tired of being hurt so I'll look fierce." It just seems as his eyes are introspective all the while knowing you are there. Silver-Fenrir is right...fragle is a great description. I also get the feeling of it being cold wherever he is.
Awesome work!
Of course if this started chasing me...I'd be running!

i used to have dreams with stuff like this, they were not nightmares though, just regular dreams. sadly i dont remember my dreams anymore. anyway, this is awesome work. i agree with the other posts that there is a touch of sadness in the face. keep up the good work moth eatn.
ok well I dont know if you are like those here who are able to summon their courage during their Nightmares. But in my dreams when I have Demons like this terrorizing me my rational thoughts are gone and I cant cope. so I either run or wake up.
this is a Verry well drawn picture by the way. HR Gieger the guy who created the Alien from the movie series Alien was a strong guy and said he always had these things in his dreams and like you Drew em
some of us know what fear is and those of us who know what we are afraid of in the etherial world are seldom lucky enough to draw them so this is Omage to you man

Not quite what I have seen in my dreams... but... Similar to something I have seen... though... with a more human touch to his face... Though considering he is my father (in the dream) it does make fur something rather scary......
Anyhow... as fur the whole dream inspiration thing... I have to say I Have never seen your other stuff that you mentioned... but I'm guessing they are nice... But yes... I have alot of dreams where the demon happens to be someone I know...
In fact... one of which Inspired a story I wrote sometime ago as like a fairy tell fur a friend of mine... was actually me... but I didn't know it... until I was telling it... how odd... normally a fur pictures him or herself as an animal (in most cases) but I pictured myself as a giant creature... big brown and shabby looking... with a look of sadness in his eyes... and behind him was a forest... deep... quiet... and from the looks of it... dead... but still with some life in it... above it and behind me was fog... just as deep and dead silent as the forest... but being a forest it was far more inviting then the fog... but yes... The monster was me but it was sad... I don't really know why... I never got to ask myself why I was sad... I do that a lot in my dreams... rather then be afraid of it... I talk to it... most of the time I end up running cuz the thing I'm talking to wants to kill me ur something...

I know it's ridiculous to ask, but... do you do anything special to cultivate your vivid dreams? I have a fair recollection of mine and they can even be quite cinematic at times, but they rarely make me as giddy as just glancing at some of your dream-inspired work (not to mention all the rest) gets me. It's naive of me to say so without having experienced the inspiration for this image firsthand, but if I could cultivate the sort of imagery you get, I'd take the bad with the good in a heartbeat. Keep on doing what you do; I look forward to every single thing you make.
Well, I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but when I have a vivid dream, the most effective way for me to preserve the experience is to make it into art. Other than that, I'm not really sure what to tell you. The actual process of making the image real for me is the most fulfilling thing I can do with a dream. And my reasons for making certain dreams into art varies. Sometimes I do it because the dream was just so dang cool that I never want to forget it. Other times, as in the case of this picture, I just have to get it out of my head - bring it to the real world so it will stop terrorizing me in my sleep. This picture was drawn during the wee hours of the morning simply because I didn't want to go to sleep until I'd worked it out. But I'm glad I could have a hand in inspiring you. :)
