Basil grumbled to himself as he finished with the shower and came out wearing Anna's pink fluffy bathrobe. There was no choice. His old clothes were in the wash and there was nothing else that Anna owned that could fit him. He had half the mind to complain to her when he saw the distant expression on her face as she turned on her coffee maker. Her eyes were still a little puffy from crying last night.
Instantly the thought of complaining left him and the actor chose a new approach: He swallowed his pride.
"You know, I actually think I am rather fabulous in this bathrobe," Basil put on a posh tone and posed a little in Anna's bathrobe, not caring how stupid he looked to Anna right now.
Anna paused in what she was doing and looked at him, eyes widening. She bit her bottom lip, clearly trying to keep herself from laughing.
"Oh darling, you are absolutely- like....killing it!" Anna immediately put on a valley girl accent with a grin and motioned towards him with her hand. "Pink is like...totally your color, don't ya know?"
Basil chuckled, amused by her accent and decided to play along. "Why yes, Queen! Pink is a-totally my color! Like, I think it totally brings out my eyes! Where did you ever buy this absolutely stunning robe? I simply MUST have it!"
Anna's laughter filled the room and Basil grinned. Sometimes it paid to be a little ridiculous to see that smile on his best friend's face.

I finally had a chance to work on my Celebrity Basil AU art! :D For those who don't know, he is Basil Doyle- a British model and actor in the modern Hollywood world. He debuted as The Great Mouse Detective himself as his first major role which led him into his stardom. Anna is his best friend from high school who supports him in his life goals. And fun fact though only a very few number of you know this- Anna isn't actually a red-head. In Silver and Gold, her hair is actually dyed red. It is naturally red in other Au's such as Ratcula and a few other worlds. In this world however, Anna keeps her natural hair color- dark blonde (which is my true hair color. My hair was dyed red when I first wrote Silver and Gold). Might take a while to get used to seeing her like this. ;)
