The power she uses has to come from somewhere. I remember before she got a gate she was converting calories into magic. When she was flying houndrat she didn't actually notice at first but she was using houndrat's excess vitality to power her flight . I don't remember how she pumped up houndrats cup size by do remember that that was part of the story that introduced her. At least that's my memory of the story.
