The common zombie is simply the reanimated remains of a human, usuallyas a result of some form of necromancy or magic.

-Zombies do not age, but decay at an alarming rate. In order to remain "alive" it must consume the flesh of the living, whether it be animals or humans.

-Zombies, despite their fragile apperance, are extremely hardy, and can take a lot of punishment. Stabbing and bludgeoning are not as effective as magic sources of damage are, such as fire. A zombie can be dismembered, but its separate parts will seek to reunite as one body, and eventually it will be back up and functioning.

-Zombies can, and will, run to pursue a potential source of food. As they are undead, they have unlimited stamina, and will chase a target until it is either destroyed, distracted, or captures its prey.

-The reanimated body parts of zombies are highly prized reagents for witches and other occult practitioners. Some make a living staking out graveyards and slaying zombies for bounty.

-The bite of a zombie has a necrotizing effect, causing the wound to be highly susceptible to infection. It is rumored that those who are bitten can be slowly transformed into a zombie upon death.
