Mikoto is the first of the 3 Kyubi Triplets, a team of support units created from the remaining 3 support bits from Shizune's Mark 1 frame, namely a shield bit that survived destruction from Alice when her mother unit attacked. Enhanced with Alice's special nanomachines, the AI fragment evolved and was able to warrent the attention of several Artemis technicians as well as the Director via his maid-bot, Dusty. It was at her suggestion that she and her sister units be upgraded to their new frames and he obliged, curious as how simple AI fragments were able to become their own conscious entities. She was the first to get a new Techanoid body, and has inherited the calm and strategic traits from her 'mother' unit. Not as loud and arrogant as her sister Tsurugi, but more social than Tsubaki, she is the thinker, defender and healer of the three. She believes in a strong defensive stature and has two 'prayer' shield bits similar to what she was in a past life. She also knows the importance of field repair and has a 3rd support bit which is supplied with repair nanomachines similar to what her Aunt Squeeks uses. While she is a defensive unit, she isn't unarmed. Aside from being energy shielded, her bits an also fire energy pulses which can disable enemies, not to mention be deployed to ram into targets that get close enough. She is also armed with a plasma saber, a powerful sword that is a harsh surprise for anyone who thought she was a harmless peaceful pacifist, as so many think she is at first sight.

In her off time she is the peacemaker, and doesn't harbor any grudges against Alice for the destruction of her other 'sister' bits or the attack on her mother. As a matter of fact she thanks her for allowing her the chance to become what she is today. She enjoys life and nature and likes to keep the maids company when not acompanying her mother. She enjoys bringing tea to Shizune and the other Beast units, or her aunts as she calls them, and trains with Betty and Squeeks. She has acquired the nickname of "Miko" from others since she was given the gift of clothing in the style of Japanese shrine maidens which share the name, a present from the Director that fits her peaceful nature. Her beauty and grace gets her alot of attention that she is rather uncomfortable with, but tries her best to be on good terms with everyone.

She enjoys tea and cake with her mother who she calls Shizune Hime Sama, and enjoys thinking games such as Go, Shogi, Chess and Bejewled. Tetris frustrates her unfortunatly. She enjoys painting and poetry and origami. She has developed a very close friendship with a female technician that she enjoys the gentle touch she has when assisting her with repairs.
