It's dawning on him.
Weird stomach cramps, lotsa hunger, generally feeling a little unwell. Though most of the unpleasant side effects are cured away quickly by his rapid healing. No morning sickness, no awkward swellings. The real unpleasantness starts setting in when the baby starts to feed, around month 5. Right now, he still has it easy.
He was barely conscious during all his previous pregnancies, so he has no idea what all these symptoms are... And the artificially implanted embryos (which didn't share Luca's DNA, he didn't father them, his Apex merely infected them) would have differed in symptoms. Since those would have remained human babies/children at first, with the Wolf gene lying dormant. (Only turning into Wolves when reaching puberty.)
