Jake was a lieutenant in the Dogs of War. He had a fling with Jeanine, Canis' girlfriend. Canis set up Jake to die in a raid on Oasis. Jake was saved by Reese. Months later, Jake falls in love with Reese. Reese is kidnapped by the Dogs. Jake and friends go to rescue Reese. Jake is confronted by Jeanine during the rescue.
