IS THAT A MOTHERFUCKING JOJO REFERENCE
♪~ Let the voice of love take you higher... ~♫
A birthday gift for the two very lovely souls in my life,
Lakuta and Morako!
They recently finished showing me JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (All the way up to Part 6), and after much hilarity and subsequent discussions, I really wanted to paint a picture like this - trying to capture the energy of the series and Araki's art style in my own :3
And I gotta say, girls, I think I fuckin' nailed it. I love how the poses, the outfit, the anatomy, and the style all came out. I especially love how the eye focuses on each bit of the picture.
For the folks who've never seen JoJo and are wondering what it's about and why people keep talking about it, I like to describe it like this - you know when you're watching an anime, and they have another anime on the television in the background of a scene, something spectacle-filled and deliberately over-the-top? Yeah. This is like someone made that into a full series. And it's kinda great. Part 7 hype :DDD

I had no doubt that you would have so fuckin' perfectly nailed it, dear Dark. Personally never watched JoJo's Bizarre Adventure anime series, but have heard and seen lots about it almost anywhere, here Lakuta and Morako both turned out stellar in your style! They rock and shine in this special birthday picture, so much that I went blind after looking at them for a long while. 😍✨ 12/10 is more than deserved AAAAAH!!! 💜💜💜
