At long last, a reference sheet for my crow, Etherex. I ended up doing another fairly substantial redesign to him but there were a few elements kept from his prior appearances. I feel this design is much more interesting for me to draw. A few things ended up on the cutting room floor like his hat (which does still exist but will not feature in every image he's in).
Etherex is a very magical macro, quite fond of hypnosis and other means of manipulation. Relative to my other characters, he's a bit cruel (though he does have a softer side). He can cast with or without his staff, frankly he mainly just enjoys the look of it. There is a slight glow to both his irises and his accents that grows more intense while casting or hypnotizing. Size wise, he's all over the place, so like my other characters expect him anywhere from the size of a building to bigger than a galaxy, depending on his mood. As for the "Male?", well, Etherex is unafraid to experiment and skirt traditional lines. So while I have been referring to him as a male, there will probably be pics where that changes. We'll see.
As a final thing, I want to thank my friend
MagPi . A lot of this design was influenced by her amazing work and she also gave me some helpful references for working on important aspects of an avian.
