People with DNIs, to a one, are assholes. Every single one I’ve had the misfortune of talking to always turns out to be a hateful little prick. So I block on sight where I can and ignore everywhere else.

I notice the longer and more specific they are, the less I want to deal with someone like that because I hate walking on eggshells.

Even for things like "bigots DNI", people are rarely going to go "oh I'm a bigot, I better not interact" anyway.... I really don't understand why people can't block.

It's often a very petty way to try and control other people and yeah, I don't care to hang out with someone that unstable. They're usually not so secretly doing the things in their DNI as well. Once in a great while it'll turn out they're in the anti cult and just don't know how to get out yet, but again, I don't have time for that shit. People can come back and find me when they've grown up some and stopped being fascist loving, book banning freaks. :D

What's a DNI?

Those posts that say "do not interact if" and then list a bunch of usually contradictory things. They're more common on Tumblr but I saw a few on Artfight last year and once in a great while I have to block someone here for having one in their profile. It's a kind of morality policing among a certain kind of people and it's a good sign of someone to stay away from.

Earlier this year I was followed by someone on AF that had "proshipper art style" in their DNI... I get not liking taboo content, but what does that even mean??? I'm over 30 and stopped using Twitter a year and a half ago lmfao. So much of this does not matter to offline or mature people.

Right?! I would just block someone like that, they proudly proclaim they hate strangers and can't tell the difference between fiction and reality. XD

Ah, gotcha! I was curious because in Spain a DNI is an identity card :-D

Yep. The good faith interpretation is most antis or people with long DNIs are stuck in the herd mentality and are too scared to have a desisting opinion, but it's not worth sticking around for the questioning people trying to be right when most will try to cancel or use Republican tactics on you.

Yes exactly! I have sympathy for them, but no patience to deal with them. There are people who try to rehabilitate folks who get stuck in the anti cult, but I'm not one of them. I'll be here when they get out and not a moment sooner. :D
