Beatrix is a schoolteacher with a class of young children, who unfortunately for her quiet life, has discovered a love of adventuring and combat. When she isn't teaching, Beatrix is an eldritch knight, channeling powerful magic into her brutal combat skills.

The problem is that Beatrix quite likes her day job, and worries that her weapons and armor might scare the children or alarm their parents. So she does her adventuring in secret, keeping her two lives separate. A perfect double life.

Of course, hiding a powerful eldritch knight who is also a centaur and the very well known schoolmarm in a small town is not as easy as she thinks it is, and most of the town is well aware that she moonlights wrestling ogres and fighting giants. She is blissfully unaware of this fact, even when she is summoned to the town council with the rest of the party, under the impression she is merely called upon as a consultant for her knowledge as a school teacher...
