Sooo yeah, that's it!
Pretty much just the exposition for this little story.
I'm going to write a proper (probably illustrated too) summary someday soon but here's the gist: these two are nomads by lifestyle and they travel across the islands and share their stories with the folks. Total wanderer/storyteller archetype. There's a funny story about how they met and how they began travelling together, and I will also write a proper summary of that someday soon.
This scene is part of the story they're telling to little Tau, my main dragon oc. They've completely captured her attention, and they've been staying on her home island for a while, each day bringing a new story. And yes, everything they tell is actually true, and these places actually exist and theoretically Tau could go out there and visit them. That idea became her golden dream. To run away and to see the world for herself. The wanderers have brought the proof with them, too: amulets of different rare materials, torn maps, and suspiciously specific descriptions of their travels.
This was going to be the prologue chapter to Tau's story of how she ran off from her island to seek adventures, only to find misfortunes instead (and some good times and friends too! But mostly misadventures)
If you're curious and have a spare buck, I’ve put together a special collection on Patreon, a folder with all the comic concepts I’ve ever shared there, including some WIP sketches I’m not quite ready to post publicly. I’d be really grateful if you checked it out and shared your thoughts!

This angle in the last panel.. took so many hours to figure out, and to get right x))))
If you've read all this - thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for your time. I'd truly love to hear your thoughts!
This was quite a tough project and I've made a lot of mistakes but each one taught me something, I’ve learned a lot about comic making through it.
In every page, I kept redesigning the characters (btw, their names are Palaki (the green one) and Zephyr), went back and forth editing existing pages, and somehow every single page ended up being a different canvas size. 😅
Honestly, I'm just relieved it's finally over. Still, I’m too fond of it to let it go completely, so maybe I’ll return to this story someday with a few illustrations or random lore posts. But that’s for later.
For now it's time to move on to something new.

For what it's worth, it *is* clear that you put a lot of energy into these pages- the angles, the expressions are all on point. You deserve both condolences, and in a way congratulations- condolences that something you poured so much of your heart into didn't pan out, and congratulations on having the strength to cease working on it for your own well being. Your art has always shown truly beautiful talent (and a great deal of effort!) and I hope and look forward to the results should you find a more manageable way to bring your imagination to us. To the future!
;w; Thank you so much for your kind words! I now feel it was the right decision to post these, because all the warm feedback has given me more confidence in myself. What you said means a lot, and it really does feel that way - condolences and congratulations at the same time!
