So, after much work and much brainstorming, my wife and I finally came up with a set of characters that best fit her vision!
Born on one of the seven moons orbiting the gas giant Bathala, the twins Rahu and Ketu are part of an ancient tradition that spans across generations. The Bathalans, as part of their religion that centers around the great Cosmic Serpent Bakunawa, have always been lead by a set of twins. One takes the role of High Priestess while the other takes on the mantle of Grand Warden. Together, the twins serve as both leader and protector of the seven moons of Bathala, as well as the seven artifacts that lie upon each of those moons known as the Lunar Pearls.
Rahu and Ketu were widely considered to be the most wise and cunning of their ilk, having set the Bathalans onto the path of a veritable golden age... that was, until Tai Hong arrived.
