Epithet: The Devil King, the Lord of the Nine, God of Tyranny
When the Primordial God, Ahriman, fell to the Inverted Peaks, his blood spilled across the hellish plane. And from that blood spawned the Devils. The first, and strongest among them, was Asmodeus.
When Asmodeus came upon the material world of Astraeus, the other gods greeted him with open arms, not the least of which, Prometheus. With Asmodeus’ help, laws were created for the mortal races. Laws that many still abide by today.
However, things changed in the Great Schism. In the War against the Demon King, the gods gifted the mortal races power in order to help them fight back against the demon hoards. Asmodeus began to grow worried, paranoid, he feared with those gifts, mortal kind would grow to overthrow him and his fellow gods.
With 5 other gods, Asmodeus waged war for control over Astraeus, but in the end he and the betrayers were defeated and imprisoned in Hell. However Asmodeus planned a contingency. In a mortal woman he planted a seed. And in 1000 years, that mortal’s bloodline would foster a child who would orchestrate his escape. Followers of Asmodeus called this prophecied child, The Ignatus.
One of the central antagonists of my DnD game. And before you ask, yes, the fact he looks like a Zelda Twili is intentional.
