I had fallen asleep before I received the next picture and that proved to be a blessing, for had I been awake, I wouldn’t have been able to sleep at all after seeing it.
Seeing her stalk up the staircase with that wolfish grin of hers would’ve most certainly filled me with dread had that been the case, but when I saw it in the morning, I actually felt relieved. After all, she had been inside of my home and had every opportunity to harm me while I slept, and yet… she didn’t.
More and more, I grew confident that this creature held no hostile intentions towards me, and whatever fears remained gave way to fascination and curiosity. I wanted to see her with my own eyes and see if there was any way to communicate with her. I searched around the house for her, but when I couldn’t find her, I was overcome by a sadness that I had not expected.
