Last May I watched Over the Hedge and I felt inspired to create an opossum character, but I wanted to give the character something odd. I've thought about making a dullahan character before and so I combined the two ideas into one. What also helped with the idea is that I'm slowly re-watching the Highlander series and that helped inspire the kind of look I wanted from the character.

Her hair style is based on the Amy Rose from the UK Sonic the Comic.

The sword pose is based on an image I found while searching for sword poses, going with the one I felt best fit the character. I wanted to try drawing a more interesting pose and this is the first time I've tried drawing a character wielding a sword. It's also the first time I've tried drawing with a 6B pencil as I hoped it would make the drawing easier to scan.
