One from the vault! This was a creature I designed back in high school! It's somewhere between a spider, a skeleton, and a scuttling shadow. I called it Spindlegrin, and it’s always stuck in my mind as one of those characters that feels like it walked straight out of a forgotten storybook or under-bed dimension.
With long legs, a face like a cracked mask, and a way of moving that’s probably a little too quiet. This page was me trying to figure out how it might walk, crouch, maybe even smile. Creepy? Definitely.
But I always felt like it was kind of precious in a weird, lanky way.
The design’s old and raw, but it still makes me proud and I was really letting my imagination run wild here back then!
