This beautiful illustration of my woodland dragon Abalus is by the wonderful Ashes Drawn!
This was a music-inspired illustration; I provided the music and the character, and Ashes Drawn worked her magic to do the rest. The song that inspired this piece is:

This piece by Enigma has been one of my favourites for quite some time. It is sung through three languages (Sanskrit, Latin, and English, I believe), and has such a joyous vibe. The unofficial video I linked to above ties the song to the beauty and splendor of nature... and the wonder of life. From this, Ashes was inspired to take this woodland dragon and have him portrayed climbing through some branches, towards the freedom of the sky. This art piece is just gorgeous - from the beautiful detail on Abalus himself, to the wonderful forest back drop. This is his home, and you can see he can camouflage quite well against the trees. Absolutely beautiful and so heart-warming!
