Heya!
I felt inspired to draw some floof on an epic yet cute character, so Autumn Blaze the Kirin came to mind^^ Her song is one of the few I listen to more regularly and I think she deserved better than just such a short appearance in the show!
I was inspired by the Kirin's joyful jumps during parts of the music video and went for a similar dynamic pose, which I really enjoyed the sketch of, topping it off with a few butterflies and the ground beneath her. The colouring process was super enjoyable in comparison to the lineart, which came with a bit of a challenge due to all the small details in her scales and fluffy mane and tail. Working with warm shades of brown and beige was very nice and the green works as a sweet, earthy contrast. The rainbow in the background, which was also featured in the music video, was a last minute decision and I was scared to ruin the drawing with it. Luckily, it all worked out in the end and I'm super happy with the result!
