Julia was born as the older of a pair of twins to a pig farmer's cat-loving wife. During the pregnancy, the couple found themselves snowed in by a blizzard for over a month, with the power also going out causing most of the food in the house to go bad, and making heading to town to buy more nearly impossible. The pregnant woman ended up having to sustain herself and her unborn children off of the genetically modified pork the farm produced, and the specially treated catfood that she normally fed her fur babies, supposed to be artificially enhanced to promote feline health.
The result was the first of the pair, a girl named Julia, being born a with cat ears and a tail, just a few minutes before midnight July 31st.
The second twin, a heavy-set boy named August, was born with a pig snout, ears, and hooves a few minutes after midnight August 1st.
As they grew older, Julia was fawned over for her adorable appearance and antics, being adorable and shy one moment, and energetic and affectionate the next. As her brother, meanwhile, was relentlessly bullied for his own appearance, Julia became fiercely protective of him, while he meanwhile stuck close to her tail, following along with whatever she was doing, often fairly feminine activities.
Several years later, when Augie came out as trans, Julia was thrilled, going so far as to officially "donate" the "a" from her name to her new sister, becoming Juli and Augusta. As Augie underwent transition therapy, Juli struggled to find her purpose without him, torn between a love of frilly, classical lolita fashion and a hyperactive, devil-may-care side that chafed at being restrained and quiet. This dichotomy came to a head when the mutagen in her genes from birth reactivated, splitting her head in two and causing her to grow a second pair of breasts. The one head is still demure and traditional, keeping the name Juli, the other is a free spirit who loves showing off her shared body and talking about cute boys. The 21-year-old girls are currently attending university for fashion and historical Victorian culture, while working as part time maids at the manor of one Ms. Fujisawa, CEO of a slightly shady biopharmaceutical company researching the effects of mutagen. The wealthy, powerful woman has graciously allowed for Juli, Summer, and Augie to receive room and board in the mansion while getting their respective degrees. The conjoined catgirls work closely with their mentor and senior, the late-middle-aged Gloria, who tends to see and treat them as if they were her own daughters.
