Interesting fact: Most pufferfish, when bloated, release a dangerous chemical called tetrodotoxin, or TTC, on their skin. TTC is 100 times more toxic than cyanide.
Fugu fish contain TTC and can contain enough toxins in their livers to kill 30 adult humans. For this reason, pufferfish are considered the second most poisonous creatures in the world after poison frogs.
