Unit awaiting orders...
Just a small thing I did because I needed a portrait for some side thing I was working on, nothing too groundbreaking. cx
Actually, I suppose I could have just uploaded that as an audio file and used this as its thumbnail... eh, not sure I really feel like doing that lol and I'm sure you guys don't want to hear my voice, anyway haha
He's the pilot of a huge killer robot that's called a Cyberlord, which is armed with a plasma cannon, a flamethrower, and a chain gun (because screw your infantry)
The cockpit ain't too spacious or particularly cheery, tho, but I guess that's the price of being powerful. XD

"From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the blessed machine. Your kind cling to your flesh as if it will not decay and fail you."
"One day the crude biomass you call a temple will wither and you will beg my kind to save you. But I am already saved. For the Machine is Immortal!"

Ah, sorry. ^^ It's a Warhammer reference to the Mechanicus, the "technological" arm of of a Human faction called the Imperium of Man. This particular sect revere the "Machine God" or Omnissiah, so essentially worship and bless machines, as well as produce and maintain them.
I could go on, but the lore is so deep...

Ah, yes, good ol' reality is stupid 40k... lol
I've limited knowledge on that particular subject, having read a singular book (Titanicus, specifically) and played two games (Space Marine and Kill Team, both on PS3), so I'm not totally in the dark... especially since someone I used to know was a much bigger 40k nerd haha
I'm more partial to BattleTech, myself, as it's more grounded in reality, plus I've known about it since I was a kid, whereas I was first introduced to Warhammer in high school
Either way, I can certainly see why you'd bring that up, considering... ;P

Somehow I'm not surprised you'd be familiar with Titanicus lol It's been a minute since I last read it--I have trouble staying physically comfortable while reading for some reason, so I don't read books often--but I remember thoroughly enjoying it. cx (Also yes, Space Marine is damn good fun)
BT is pretty fun in its own right, but I can't personally recommend any of the video games that came out after MechWarrior 4 (and ESPECIALLY anything developed by Piranha; they're bad eggs, quantity over quality). Tabletop can be fun if you don't mind dice determining your fate--there are even some resources available for free on Catalyst's website to let new players try it out--but there's also a TON of fiction to go with all the gameplay elements, too
I could go on, but I'm sure you get the gist. X3
