I'm not impressed with Obama's current claims of comprehension of US finances.
He has stated that if the federal debt ceiling is not raised, the US might have to default. This is bullshit, because the federal government pulls in enough in taxes in pay off the principal and the interest on time.
However, although there won't be a default, things might still get very nasty because all the other things the government pays for could become underfunded. I guess "default" just sounds scarier and fits into a sound bite easier.
Of course, if I misunderstood the joke, and you are talking about a different president, then I apologize for being a twit.
