A while back I created a species of semi aquatic shapeshifting humanoids called mers (like mermaids)
There are different subspecies, dependant on where they are from. There are freshwater, saltwater and these are cold water mers.
Mers are mostly have humanoid forms however when they come into contact water they turn into a reptilian type creature.
Cold water mers resemble seals with some reptilian features.
