Kenshi the Cursebound (ref, vore mentions)
Moving on from the previous... incident. My next entry takes me to Zehou. I was going to visit Kegare-No-Bakemono, having found her company (if not how she metes out justice) pleasant thanks to her manners and treating me as an equal, when I met her mothering this Zorgoia who was bound by a tag around his mouth, his eyes glowing brightly with the strain of magic not his own and the character for "cursed" branded onto his palm.
Able to open his mouth enough to talk to me, he introduced himself as Kenshi, and a voice echoed up from his throat, guttural and demanding asking me to remove the binds around his mouth, interrupted when he shut himself up and took several minutes to meditate.
Kegare told me Kenshi wasn't a youkai, but was welcome to live among her people due to being the vessel for a sealed demon, before he took over to further explain to me how when he was younger, he was bound by villagers who believed him to be some kind of animal and offered as a sacrifice to a rogue demon from the pantheonic hell - something far worse and more bestial than a youkai at their worst. The demon, Shukemei ("Wailing Hunger", I'm told it means) ravaged the Zehouain underworld with a truly impossible hunger before being summoned by a warlock who had no comprehension of the force they unleashed onto the world, before ending up being condemned to death in the belly of the beast they unleashed.
Poor Kenshi was a victim of mortal desperation, being that Zorgoia were not a common sight nor seen as a sacred species in Zehou until Raijin ascended, they just knew he was a large creature with an appetite; perfect to bind a gluttonous demon into - with the intent to then ritually sacrifice him on an alter to damn the demon back to hell, even if it took the innocent Zorgoia with it. Kegare was FURIOUS about this when she heard about it, and interfered in their attempts to take the Zorgoia's life, but wasn't able to stop the demon's binding. From then on, Kenshi and Shukumei were two beings now fighting for the same body, and with the Zorgoia's natural capacities, size, and appetites, Kenshi proceeded to devour the entire village, only stopping when Kegare exerted her willpower over Shukumei to make him stop and surrender his body back to Kenshi, whereupon she took him home and affixed him with bindings to control the unstable demon.
Kenshi will likely live the rest of his mortal - but demonically extended - life fighting for control of his body from his passenger, the strain and stress in his eyes telling of the battle even with the seals suppressing the demon, alongside with a nigh-constant rumbling of his stomach that sounds like the demon resting in it growling angrily for satiation. By way of taking pity on him and as apology for failing to prevent their binding, Kegare serves as his handler to keep the seal strong, and whenever the demon grows too powerful to deny, she scouts out locations and groups of people who require being taught a lesson and sends him out there, permitting him to remove the seal and allow Shukumei to eat to the limits of Kenshi's body, until it goes dormant again once its host has been filled to the brim (and that brim is very large). Kenshi doesn't let this be lethal however, feeling as though it's not him who is able to determine the fate of his prey, and thus he'll always reform them - though this may take time, as Shukumei's rampages often leave him disoriented and on the border of a constant food coma until he metabolizes some of his new weight.
To be honest, I don't know if I'd say he's happy so much as he's just made peace with his lot in life. I imagine he's probably happiest when he's let the demon rampage a bit and it's left him alone... perhaps one day he can tame the second voice in his head and they can reach a balanced understanding. It's not like there's a lack of sentient prey on this planet, especially for a Zorgoia who can reform his meals.

Next character! I really needed to get this backlog fixed up.
This one was actually a rehome, a friend of mine was looking to part with this Zorgoia, and I did like the idea they had for them of being cursebound to a gluttonous demon, so I offered to be the one to take them off their hand, while keeping their name and the general idea behind them, while of course adapting them to Sedd as far as backstory goes!
Like the blurb said, being bound to a gluttony demon, he's in a weird position of being a Zorgoia who doesn't want to eat people due to the demon inside making him feel like he's forced and obligated to, restraining and the desire and instinct until it grows too loud, often resulting in the seal breaking and massive rampages of consumption that he has to try his best to mitigate after the demon settles down.
Kenshi belongs to me! (And was rehomed from

I just realized how fitting it is that this setting is managed by a demon that represents three things that can have results that can be staved off, but can't be undone once reached (for now) and a dragon that represents something, in regards to the body and arcana, that can be avoided but definitely won't be defeated if ever, when in Sedd there are so many vexing things that for at least greater beings, probably interacts with differently, if at all, but are nigh-impossible to treat when somehow they, and especially mortals and adjacent, but lesser beings, are affected
