The Gex trilogy is out for all platforms where you get all three games featuring the eponymous Gecko for as low as thirty dollars.
What a deal and an appropriate way to bring back a bargain bin mascot from the 90's!!


Truthfully he had potential. Making it as far as three games is quite an accomplishment for a wise-cracking mascot who belted out wheezing one-liners while dwelling in outdated tech.
You know who else came from the 90's and actually lasted longer?: Crash Bandicoot!! In the original games Tawna Bandicoot (as some sort of joke on the creators' end) left Crash for Pinstripe Potoroo.


Now years later she's gone with Gex!!

One of Gex's most prominent (and perhaps most annoying) aspect of his character is that he constantly yells pop-culture references at nauseum.
So when Pinstripe asks Tawna what she sees in Gex....in true Jessica Rabbit fashion she replies: "He makes me laugh!"


I guess Gex could make you laugh if you were really drunk or high. XD Or if you're like me and a product of the 90's when streaming services and cloud didn't exist and you channel surfed on cable TV with blocky remotes and televisions that weighed over 60 pounds.
The premise of Gex going "channel surfing" could still work today having him going through streaming services facing off against different genres....from fantasy epics, to zombie apocalypses to even anime.

This mascot could hold some promise.

But Tawna...don't burn any bridges any time soon. XD
