2024 had come and gone after Oliver and Claire spent the weekend together having a fun experience attending an Anime convention. But when it came to 2025, Claire wasn't sure who to cosplay as next. That was until Oliver told her about an anime he watched back in the mid 2000s. This anime was called "Death Note", and with each twist and turn that occurred in the series, Claire was captivated by it. However, when it came to one character in the series, she did wish that her love interest was for the shaggy haired detective. When 2025 had come, Oliver got his hands on their weekend passes during the pre-order day, which gave them time to have a look around early the next day before the con could begin later on. This would mark their sixth year going to a con together, and this time they were cosplaying as two characters from the same series. Claire had dressed up to look like Misa Amane, while Oliver dressed up as L Lawliet. With the exception that he is wearing shoes. Despite it being early in the morning, the two of them got dressed up for the con, even though their doors haven't opened yet. But this did give them time to chat with one another. Finding a bench to sit, the two of them took a breather, preparing themselves for the long walk they will both be enduring when the con opens.


Claire: Seriously though. I really wished that girl could've gone with that shaggy-haired detective. Would've made for a great twist for the series.


Oliver: You do have a good point. And it would show that Light underestimated human love despite his high intelligence. But the thing is, someone did make a fanfic about that, and how it would've effected the series. If you want, I can give you a link to it later.


Claire: wait there is?! I would really appreciate if you did!


Seeing Claire smile and act giddy, Oliver couldn't help but smile himself. But as he did, he got a good look over at Claire's outfit. Seeing her wear the same black dress Misa wore in the series, it looked great on her. Only difference was, the dress showed off a massive amount of cleavage, which he was not one to complain about getting a good view of it. But as he looked at Claire again, he saw her smile was gone, and was replaced with a look of uncertainty. Oliver knew that something was on her mind, but he didn't know what.


Oliver: Claire? Is something wrong?


Claire: Well.....since you asked me, there is. Something happened two weeks ago. And I don't know what to make of it. And knowing you, you already know what's going on.


Oliver: It really depends on what you're talking about, Claire.


Claire: It's involving Chirithy. Ever since two weeks ago, he has been very worried and jittery. Telling me that he cannot feel the connection between him and Oliver anymore. The light part of you. Even went on to tell me that when that usually happens, that means the one they're connected to has died, and they disappear. But Chirithy is still here. So that means Oliver is still alive. Is he?


Claire had explained everything to Oliver, with his reaction being one of somebody who had to tell the truth after everything was laid out in front of them. Taking in a deep breath, Oliver knew he had to come clean with Claire.


Oliver: I might as well tell you everything that's been going on. When it comes to my light half, I'm sure Chirithy told you where he was. Well the thing Chirithy doesn't know is that Daybreak Town............no longer exists.


Claire: No longer exists? What do you mean?


Oliver: I mean that the World of Daybreak Town was destroyed. It was the end of the World for that place. And along with it, Oliver and the rest of his teammates who didn't get out of that simulation. But you are right, they aren't dead. Even though the destruction of a World usually brings that fate to those in it when that happens. But at the same time, they aren't alive neither. You can say they're all in limbo.


Claire: Is there anyway to save him and his teammates?!


Oliver: That's what I've been looking into. The only good thing is that they're in limbo. Yes they teeter between life and death. But that doesn't mean there isn't a chance to pull them from the brink. I just need to see how.


Claire: I have faith in you, Oliver. Please, save them.

Anime North 2025 may have come and gone almost a month ago, but still better to put this up later than never ;) . This is the first time showing off one of the buildings from that convention, and Mortadela got the building perfectly :D . But when it comes to this picture, it looks amazing :) . To see Oliver and Claire cosplaying as L Lawliet and Misa Amane, they look really cute together :D . As for why I had chosen these two to be cosplaying as this, there was a fanfiction I read about 15 years ago that was written really well, and it had a great concept of a "What If". And that was "What if, at a certain scene, Misa Amane accidentally tackled L and kiss him instead of Light?". The writer of the fanfic wrote about 3 stories for it, which could've made the series go for 3 seasons instead of 2. There will be a link to the beginning of that series down below. As for what was mentioned regarding Oliver's Light half being in limbo, that is put in only due to getting an announcement in early May that the development for Kingdom Hearts Missing Link had been cancelled. But that only means when I finish Union Cross Afterstory, things will have to be arranged to get what I had planned to work out.
