Original Species: Giant Troglodyte Polywog
Some caverns in the Underground are flooded. The waters there house some bizarre and often dangerous creatures. The Giant Troglodyte Polywog is not one of the dangerous ones.
These amphibians are a neotic species, similar to axolotls found on Earth. Living in near-perpetual darkness with limited access to land caused these creatures to remain in their tadpole stage and adopt a herbivorous diet, feeding on mosses and algae that are capable of growing in these harsh conditions.
While they are harmless to people, their appearance may seem... unsettling to some.
