Yeah, I attend every year (apart from COVID) since 2019, and what of it?
It's the county's only event for Pride Month, and the city decided a while back to add a farmer's market to the event. The market runs the length of a north-south road west of the park for about nine blocks, and the wares on offer include fruit, vegetables, prepared foods, confections, honey, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, handmade jewelry, woodworking, cheese, pet food and pet toys, etc. There was a guy who was sharpening knives and tools for the customers, which was cool.
The park holds a lot of canopies offering memorabilia, information and handmade artworks, along with a lot of Democratic and progressive organizations (never see the FL GOP there, I dunno why), health care providers, lawyers, mental health providers, two churches, and a recruitment tent for the local police department.
This picture show the mobile bandshell before the drag show, with the local police's surveillance tower. I thought it was a nice juxtaposition of freedom and control. There were fewer cops there this year, by the way; only six, when I've counted as many as fifteen in previous years.
