With Dorbley goo being non-stick, non-merge and of course sentient, they can kind of manually soak up all dirt and then just push it out into the garbage. You may think it's gross, but look at those results!!!

Actually lore-wise, jobs like this, plumbing, locksmithing, etc they do it so quick and perfect, they aren't allowed to do it. No normal blue collar worker could ever get work. So for the sake of the economy, only a few Dorbley tradesmen exist, to do the jobs too big or two small, no one would take them.
They really don't need money for things. They can pretty much sleep anywhere and in a pinch, for food they can literally just like absorb dirt through their feet. Don't get too hot, cold, sick, etc. Plus they can make a lot of stuff, out of themselves or they might be TF trained and can literally make it. Not saying they can't get a little job or work for favours, but no Dorbley is screaming "They terk mer jerb!!"
