We find our hapless hero, Bucky the Big Bottomed Buck, stranded on the moon, having built a homemade rocket to venture there after hearing that the moon is made of cheese and wanting to try making all kinds of tasty moon cheese goodies such as moon cheese pizza or moon cheese cheesecake. Unfortunately what Bucky didn’t take into account was that the moon was already home to a rather lonely alien Janey, the Looney Lunar Lady, who upon seeing her new unexpected guest, has found herself in a state of interstellar infatuation. Will this story end in moony mayhem or lunar love? Stay tooned to find out!

This is supposed to be old timey cartoon poster from the 1920-1930s back when they used to play cartoons in theaters rather than on home televisions.
It’s also supposed to be one of the first ever recorded, still surviving till now, forms of media that feature Bucky the Big Bottomed Buck, as well as the precursor to what would later become his alien wife in later adaptations, Jane Doe, featured here as Alien Janey, The Looney Lunar Lady.
Might possibly try to do more “found media” pieces showing Bucky and Jane Doe as seen during different eras, that I think you guys will really enjoy. So hopefully stay tooned for those later on as well.
…
Bucky’s Rubberhose form was directly inspired by classic black and white Rubberhose cartoons, such as Mickey Mouse, while Jane’s Toony design takes inspiration from Minnie Mouse, specifically her shoes and skirt.
This whole pic idea itself was inspired by one of the first ever motion pictures to ever be produced, the 1902 black and white film, Le Voyage dans la Lune a.k.a. Trip to the Moon as well the classic 1948 Looney Tunes cartoon Haredevil Hare, where Bugs Bunny goes to the moon and meets Marvin the Martian for the first time ever.
