worry not, this is not an anime, they are all ok and fine, they are characters, not plot devices or drama source or cannon fodder or instruments to make religious allegories about believes the writers never really know about and pretend they are deep and meaningful when all the y is soft core animal torture. (nope, i am never letting that go, that trope sucks, it must be booed at)

if your story needs to kill a likeable animal/anthro character, with fans, to be relevant for a couple episodes and then that character is forgotten like it never existed (fairy tail's igneel, per example) then your story sucks. period.
