Kalgkur is there. It'll be his job to hold off Bananas Bug until someone can grab some calming pheromones. His first big test on his new job!

Exactly. One on one she would have been meat on four legs to a baxxid. But this is a new world and the last thing Kalgkur wants to do is harm a hair on her thorax. It really is Kalgkur's first real test, because just a bit too much force, Yannit's carapace shatters and she goes down in a heap of debris. But a truly gentle touch will keep Yannit intact, keep her from hurting herself or anyone else, until Ran can get there with a sedative or an all-clear pheromone.
Well, this is about to get messy. The big issue here isn't that she's seeing Kalgkur as a threat to herself - she's seeing him as a threat to Lopin. This isn't going to be her going into survival mode; this is her going into full 'protect the Hive at all costs' mode...
Man the baxid claw shape confounds me.At a glance they look like massive blades, yet their profile is a triangle, so maybe they cut along the sides and stabbing? But no, because it seems that natural baxid claws have spikes all along the bottom side, and that one unblunted guy's claws didn't taper to a tip gradually.

I'm 100% expecting bloodshed at this point......but I simply cannot get the awful image of Yannit on the floor doing either the Yamcha or Peter Griffon knocked prone pose, so her rather than lashing out intensely she gets so overwhelmed her brain just shuts off.
Very unlikely, but intensely funny to me if anything like that were to happen.
Either way, at least Ran and that Head Surgeon fella might get to research potential surgery methods for Baxxid and/or Indrel.

what could possibly go wrong with a vermimorphed Cat 313 with 2 katanas instead of a bucket and the cutest entomomorphed hunk of C4 you have ever waifued about with pheromones in place of electricity and a teeny tiny touch of vermiphobia!

also pretty sure if the katana cat 313 knew he accidentally knocked a chunk out of the entry frame he would have turned into a quivering floor puddle that is vaguely baxxid shaped while pleading with mercy in-between baxxid sobs and sorries

Hi again, OOPs friends! I'm here to remind you once again that there's a place called "Top Web Comics" https://www.topwebcomics.com/?home=3 that compiles comics from various places. There's a bunch of cool stuff there. They have monthly votes, so you can support OOPs there. You can vote once a day per device, so your PC, laptop, tablet, phone, etc.
I've noticed that you can sometimes even get in extra votes from different IP addresses, or if you're disconnected from your IP and open up again later.
It closed out last month at around 12831 votes and 24th place. It's currently at 5398 votes and 62nd place. The highest it's reached is now 24th place, and the top vote getters seem to end up with something close to 60,000 votes, at least recently.
Vote early, vote often! Help OOPs get noticed!

I'll repeat my comment on this from last time:
"The numbers at TWC have gotten very strange recently. Hundreds of votes have been showing up suddenly every day, and the rankings throughout a day have been going radically up and down. I recently noticed that this is just confined to the comics in the top 100.
This is making the numbers and rankings pretty meaningless, and is really unfair to any comic not in the top 100. It also makes it a complete crapshoot where the comics end up at the end of the month. I haven't been able to find out what's going on with this."
