I was about to say that it looked like those RIO (Rame Inox Omnibus : Omnibus Inox Train) Budd made train we have in France, and I see that they are from the same years and yeah, they're based on Budd system.
Pretty nice, too bad those trains are so handicaped by those stupid train rules...

It's funny to see there is a lot of train fans on FA :p
I like seeing those old trains, especially those NOT from France :p Because here there is still some locomotive from the early 60 still running, and cars from the 70 like those RIO (people call them "little grey" or more simply "cans" I suppose the Metroliner used to have the same name?)
There is still a 100 years old train still in regular use, I would like to see it :p
And I read about Amtrak... as I said, that's really sad there is still outdated rules appliying to passenger trains... The Acela could have been an awesome high-speed train, and when I see how it's used, it more reminds me of the first try of electrical high speed locomotives here in the 50's...
