Sorry, but that is not true. She lost most of her power when she created the elemental gods, but she never lost a part of her soul :) More of her lore will be explained, but right now I just don't want this conversation to go in a direction that would mislead people too much... ^^;
Thank you for clarification. Obviously you know the characters you're writing, whereas us readers are trying to piece together a complete image of your imaginary world based on our (mostly) weekly snapshots. Here, I'm clearly filling in the information I don't know with seemingly similar elements from Dragonball.

The joke was that IF this story was a TV show, he'd be the actor for the badguy. It gave the author a chance to have the main badguy talk and interact with others before he was introduced into the main story and without spoiling the main plot too much. Because let's face it; he has a lot of personality and having him able to speak to the rest of the cast is a comedy goldmine.

While funny, makes me think the following is happening:
1) He is either slowly forgetting himself. He used to be someone but the chaos is fully changing him without him realizing it.
2) He is clinging onto what sanity he has, to remain in control. He doesn't want to admit it, but he is struggling to keep in control and / or doesn't realize this fear, pushing it in the back of his mind.
3) He's just that bored. Forgetful about what he hates, simple as that.
Either way, I want to know how he became the ruler of this corruption and his ordeal. Also why he isn't purple like everyone else- truly a unique BBEG we got here.

I'm reminded of an MLP fanfic called 'Discord's Garden' which covers the idea of why a being who's the embodiment of pure chaos would find solace in benign activities such as growing and maintaining plants, and summarizes it perfectly as "That's the whole point! If it makes no sense to anyone then it fits the definition of what chaos is!"
