These are updates of the sprites (just in case I get an urge to do something with them other than flex my pixel drawing muscle, since I can't seem to get motivated to work on anything else.....sigh)
The original small sprites are below. These, I think are better in both design and function (although Anju (1st from left) and itsuriko (4th) didn't change that much, Ajoura (5th) got a complete overhaul, and I might not go with that one, keeping him more like his original and putting a different knight character in there.
And last character you should recognize as Lana! She turned out awesome, IMHO.

Mmmmm... I dunno. I find them easier to do than regular art because even though you can't get a lot of detail in there, you have greater control.
Zoom, I think is the secret. work at a small size, high dpi and put it together how you want it to look before hand, then flat and then shade! That's how I do it, anyway.

I actually started from a base I made last year but it was actually just a black outline. Then I sketched a rough idea of what I wanted the character to look like on top of that, then under that layer, I selected and flood filled until I got the basic flats, then shaded.
Next step, world domination via sprite comics.
Your work with sprites improves greatly.
I wonder if you do sprite commissions?

GAH! How the heck long has that been there?
It single handedly is responsible for the surge in faves I have I bet!
Sorry, sorry, I procrastinate on a lot of things these days. Must throw money at problem...at a later date!
