Anyone remember the Herculoids? It was an old action cartoon created by Hanna Barbera that aired on September 9th 1967 about 3 humans Zandar, Tara & there son Dorno as they protect there home of Quazar alongside there Herculoids Igoo the stone Ape, Thundro the armoured, multi legged Rhyno, Gloop & Gleep the goo creatures and of course my favourite Zok the laser dragon.
It was revitalised in 1981 as space of the 'Space Stars' hour along side 'Space Ghost, Astro and the Space Mutts & Teen Force.
It has never been revived in over 40 years but had comics and cross overs in that medium so hopfully we'll get to see these forgotten heroes of animation return.
This was from a quick sketch I drew over 20 yeras ago so I decided to trace, colour and finish the picture. Hope you like this ruihsed yet fun picture.
Also if you nlike Zok's chubby design I reccommend watching the 1981 series as they really softend him up to make him more lovable looking.
