I think the choosing of the rainbow to represent LGBTQ people as a whole might have been a stroke of genius. Even with all these people who want us gone, disappeared, shot, dead, hung, no matter what, the rainbow exists. The rainbow is a naturally occurring phenomenon, and even when they think they've won, they will forever be haunted by our spirits above after the sunlight breaks through the storm.
