This was made on a recycled cotton rag paper. The texture is super interesting and fun but it's also extremely unforgiving to the point that even light pencil mark cannot be erased. (realistically I already knew this but decided to try and sketch directly on it anyway :p)

I also didn't know it before. I bought it in a very strange shop here that only sells paper of various kinds. I don't know how they're still open because I'm always the only person browsing there. But they carry various rare papers, I got some made out of banana tree bark, another made with a mexican plant, and some plastic-made paper from Japan. I still haven't tried using them for painting but.... supplies hoarding got me good :p
It's like you came upon a secret wizard shop haha, that's an amazing array of unexpected materials! I look forward to see and read your experiences with all of them and more. And it's not hoarding if you are going to put them to good use eventually! For all we know, you are helping keeping the art shop in business. Specialty shops are reducing in numbers these days.
