Great job drawing and painting this portrait on recycled rag paper! =D As challenging as this exercise may have been, the results appear to have been worth the effort!

Never knew cotton rag paper was a type of canvas. You could say it teaches you to make minimal mistakes in the first place. And being of cotton, maybe it makes their fur look a little fluffier and softer than usual.

I also didn't know it before. I bought it in a very strange shop here that only sells paper of various kinds. I don't know how they're still open because I'm always the only person browsing there. But they carry various rare papers, I got some made out of banana tree bark, another made with a mexican plant, and some plastic-made paper from Japan. I still haven't tried using them for painting but.... supplies hoarding got me good :p

If you could give me their address one day, I'd be happy to check them when I go back to the city next October!

It's like you came upon a secret wizard shop haha, that's an amazing array of unexpected materials! I look forward to see and read your experiences with all of them and more. And it's not hoarding if you are going to put them to good use eventually! For all we know, you are helping keeping the art shop in business. Specialty shops are reducing in numbers these days.
