Good expressions, and nice use of the weapons as their identifiers. Malt looks a bit crazed, mind. I guess Axel's weapons do that. Also cute to use the twins as the two with the connection.

Now I wish he'd given him Nowe's sword in his Nier Automata set of these. THAT boy has some trauma. Him and Malt would probably get along pretty well too, as both try to take the weight of he world on their shoulders.

Haven’t played Nier Automata, so I’ll take your word for it.

Heh, Nowe is actually from Drakengard 2, the parent series of Nier, but his blade is in Nier as an easter egg of sorts...it might actually be his sword, as the two worlds are connected.

Somewhat. One of the Endings of Drakengard one(Ending E) leads into Nier. The world is destroyed by Caim and Angelus fighting the Mother Grotesquery on Earth, which winds up ending all life on Earth. Humanity survives, after a fashion, for about 3000 years, but then finally dies, and Androids we built inherit the Earth.

Mind, those same Androids are responsible FOR the events of Drakengard, kinda, and...Yoko Taro makes a hell of an expanded universe.
