Neve Oscadreja grew up as part of an extended family in the Hoenn region. Small even for her species she was often picked on by her siblings and cousins and had to learn to defend herself in the only way she could - with her wits, an ego-crushing gift for insults and psych-jobs, and pure attitude. Very cunning at pitting family rivals against one another, she would spend her time mouthing off to one of them one minute and hiding behind them the next.

As she began to grow older she took her mouth and her attitude to the streets and got into more trouble than she bargained for. When one of her older brothers fell in with one of the region's crime syndicates and was soon afterwards killed in a turf war with another syndicate, her uncle Antonio, a physics teacher at the Poke-Academy of Higher Learning, decided it was time to pull her out of that environment. He enrolled her in the academy and made arrangements for her to live in one of the on-campus dormitories.

Initially unhappy with the arrangement and eager to make her displeasure known, she has since become more comfortable with her new surroundings. She still maintains most of her same attitude, but is just as willing to make friends as well as enemies. One of her favorite verbal sparring partners has been Blister Snales of Team Troubleboys. Other students will gather around to hear them exchange acid-soaked insults and comebacks until it seems that bloodshed is sure to erupt, at which point both will just start laughing.

In a battle Neve uses her ice and darkness powers to slow, confuse, disorient, weaken, and otherwise debilitate an opponent so that one of the team's two offensive players can go to work on them. Of course she has no problem jumping in with her own claws either. Although it isn't recognized as an official attack, her tongue is as dangerous as any power. She has caused more than one opponent to lose their cool and make critical mistakes and knows enough about mind games in or out of the arena to run circles around most psychics.
