Aisha and the Church, Page 4
The adventurer stopped in front of the altar when she had finished overlooking it, and thought for a few moments before taking her sword and drawing it slowly out of the scabbard.
The church was abandoned, true...but so long as it still stood, and the altar intact, it was still sacred ground. She held her sword upward in a gesture of respect and rushed through a simple, old traveler's beseech:
"Grant me sanctuary, I shall grant you no blood. Grant me safety, I shall grant you respect. I simply wish to hide out the storm. Let me stay."
She knelt before her sword and the altar to end the prayer. She wasn't answered, of course, but the quiet gave her the permission she needed.
That is, until the quiet was shattered by a scrambling noise in the direction of the end door. Her head snapped up.
*****
So we come to the next little page of this experiment, wherein Aisha's granted sanctuary, and suddenly wonders if she's alone. x3
I wonder what she'll find in the cellar. Seriously, I don't know yet, but I'll take suggestions. xP
Enjoy!
