“I don’t fully understand, Squandered, why is my belly feeling more firm than I remember? I think it’s been growing, too. Is something wrong with me?” Chomby poked at his belly. He could feel it wiggle a little.

“I thought it’d be obvious, Chomby. Though, I guess you never were the brightest of big guys, were you?” Squandered stuck his tongue out. “Though, how many buns are in your oven?”

Chomby stared down at his belly blankly. He took a moment to realize what Squandered said. “W-wait. What? How?! When? Why?! Again?!”

“It’s May, my big fatfat!” Squandered wrapped his arms around Chomby’s back.

“But… I thought I avoided it!” Chomby felt his cheeks flush hot. “I… was doing so well!”

“Clearly not.” Squandered gently slapped Chomby’s belly. It jiggled. “You’re my big, fat, large lad. Happy Mayternity!”

“Oh…. My,” Chomby slapped a hand to his head. “Sarge is gonna kill me…. Does this really happen every May?”

“Only if you let it… and you clearly did!”
