Out of those drawings that which are set onboard the Stellar Typhoon, a significant proportion take place in (or more accurately just outside) the crew cabins. Up to now, I've consistently drawn the doors in a metally pinkish-grey colour, enlivened only by the signs denoting the resident crew member and their rank (the colour coding is the same as that used for the armbands). Recently, though, I had an idea to try and further liven up these corridor scenes by applying a similar colour code to the doors themselves - you may have seen me trying this in the Gunners' Club image from last week.
I felt such a change couldn't go unexplained, hence this view of Jenni Fulton having just added the finishing touches to her own cabin door - with all the hazards that usually befall any character of mine working with a messy substance...
