You all remember Kiera right? That old childhood crush of mine from Jak and Daxter I’ve gotten a few things with and was also the first test subject for another drone type I came up with a long time ago with the Precursor Drones? Well, she’s getting the honour of being the second test subject of another original drone type of mine, the R.O.B drone! Hey, I can’t be the only one testing out my own product, right? … Well, canonically mine and Doctor Alphy’s from Undertale product. Again, canonically my sona only came up with the design, Alphys did all the technical stuff. And well, I wanted a reason to visit Haven City again and talk the super smart and cute Kiera into being the next test subject for the R.O.B Drones. Something she was a little hesitant to agree to at first given her previous experience of being turned into a drone unexpectedly during an excavation of old precursor technology, but we assured her it’d only be for a few hours, and she’d be in safe hands and she agreed. And she enjoyed it a hell of a lot! We all then played Mario Kart 64 for the next few hours.
But furthermore, aside from just wanting to do more with an old character I really like from an old game series I really love, I also wanted to show off one of the alternate colour variations R.O.B drones can come in! I mentioned in the pic of my sona as one that despite being based of an old Nintendo accessory R.O.B drones can actually be played with on any system regardless of if it’s Nintendo or not and can even come in different colours two based of various systems while also following the same design philosophy as the original R.O.B. And well, what better way to show that off than a colour scheme based of what’s my favourite console of all time anyway, the PlayStation 2! The colour scheme here being mainly a black body with blue gradient arms and legs. And since Kiera originates from the Jak and Daxter series which got its start on the PlayStation 2 who better to showcase this than her? And, you know, the whole childhood crush thing heh.
That, and I felt kinda in the mood anyway since I only just found out recently that the original Jak and Daxter got a PlayStation 5 port which you could get for free if you already owned the PS4 version, which I did, so of course I had to play one of my favourite games from my childhood for like, what, the millionth time again lol. It still only took me like 5 hours to 100% it and get the Platinum trophy even with the new trophy list because this game’s really short even if you’re going for 100%... Which I’m not complaining about by the way because not every game has to be this bloated beast with hundreds of hours of extra content for it to be good. As much as I love the original Assassin’s Creed that game is a perfect example of what I’m talking about because in what world is collecting 420 optional flags that reward you with nothing aside from an achievement in the Xbox 360 version only fun?
