Well obviously illusion magic is often something with 1 hp that once damaged disperses. Unless you got something that constantly recasts the illusion magic every so often.

It was so epic to first see this and realize what it meant

I understood it as; she was hiding her identity as an albino with a prosthetic arm, assumption being she’s infamous and needs to disguise herself.

I’m curious if there was a different interpretation I didn’t understand? (Genuine question)

The only missing understanding is who that albino is, Amelyndra in the dossiers

Cool! Someone else linked the ref sheet I somehow missed, and I was able to read up on her lore. Very interesting!

When I first came across a direct hint of this connection, I was slightly shocked.
When I pieced together the entire storyline from the dossier, I was already in complete delight (including how one fits together perfectly).
And when I got to the final dossier of Amelyndra with the role of this prosthesis of hers in her life... well, it seems I fell in love with this story.

Because before that, the damn wall of wonderful facts about the persona that led the Masquerade delighted me no less and it was VERY interesting to fill in all these gaps - both forward and backward.

U-unfortunate? Nah... if anything, the opposite! The truth is Amelyndra wanted us to see what we shouldn't have. Personally i feel pretty fortunate, cause I saw a gorgeous ness during the masquerade eyeing at me... or was it another damn illusion/joke of my mind? 🤔😥

That's either a Nat 1 or a Nat 20, depending on the point of view. I loved watching the build-up in the lore to this reveal, definitely happy to see that Amy found a place for herself and built a new life for herself.

Hopefully they can come to an agreement on why this should stay a secret, at least for now

I love the concept of the prosthetic... and it looks absolutely awesome...!!

I had to come back to this one again. Amelyndra has always been a character that I'm fascinated by - the layers of loss and grief, emotional intensity; hiding pain, channeling anger, isolation; a beautiful body that's been tragically impacted - and she's all the more beautiful for her journey through the trauma of it.

But this one's a masterpiece to me. Like, I know I'm just throwing words around here, but there's so much *threat* and danger here that goes beyond the merely physical intimidation of her dangerous body. She's not just weaponising her body here, she's weaponising her feelings. The pathos is brilliant and I love this character's entire growth journey.

Hopin' I can build a character someday that inspires feelings in others as strong as Amel has in me.
