Each campsite has a fire ring and we gather around the campfire each night. This time I brought some chemical packs to color the flames if no one was roasting marshmallows that night. The copper salts in the packet turns the flames blue or green. A similar effect can be created by stuffing a piece of neoprene gas line hose inside a bit of copper water pipe, then tossing that into a hot bed of coals.
