Another image of Kelly. I think he's the only original character I like enough to revisit. Hand wraps and shiny boxer shorts are just too cool to pass up, you know?
I'll submit this, along with other images, to ImagineFX's rising star contest. If you're a serious artist you should look into it!

hand on the hip with the hips slightly forward like in this pic is a very normal posture for a fighter , its like the hand can easily rest there cause of all the tightness in the deltoid and pectoral muscles and since boxers (especially muay thai) power from their hips they tend to have that posture
Shouldn't take it personally, after all, most of them aren't about good interesting work, most of them are about certain kind of work for filling a certain niche, as if about a crowd of nerds ever pursuing a wet-dream ideal. (I never hope for anything out of fantasy or concept art fields anymore.)
Then again, if people who aren't narrow in their view get to do the picking, they should notice good work.

As a whole, I really respect the work chosen, and I absolutely adore most of the current "it guys" of illustration and concept art. It sucks that I'm not easily noticed, but I hope to one day gain notoriety if only to be useful to more people and become friends with those I appreciate already.
Don't get me wrong, there are some very creative trully fascinating artists in fantasy and concept art, my grudge with these fields is that there's only a handfull of them, the rest being crowds and crowds of copycats regurgitating same stolen solutions over and over and over again ad nauseum... and that the viewership doesn't mind or care.
Trust me, those with an eye notice, they may be sceptical now, but they'll remember your unique markmaking when they see it again. At this rate you'll be among the hotshots in no time. (Provided you manage to focus on work and not get carried away daydreaming. That's one pitfall I've seen way too many fall for. :)
